SGPC Should Send Legal Notice to Arshdeep Singh Kaler : Gurpratap Singh Wadala Chandigarh 6 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal Punar-Surjit General Secretary Gurpratap Singh Wadala, in a written press statement, said that the SGPC President announced today during a press conference that a legal notice was being sent to a news channel for allegedly starting the live broadcast of Gurbani without authorization. However, Wadala said that the legal notice should actually have been served to Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kaler, spokesperson of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), who had declared during a press conference yesterday that any television channel could telecast Gurbani live through the link issued by the SGPC. Trident Group strengthens Industry–Academia collaboration with IIT Ropar through Strategic Innovation visit

 Punjab/Chandigarh 14 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Trident Group hosted academicians from Indian Institute of Technology Ropar for an industrial visit to its towel and paper manufacturing facilities at Trident Dhaula, reinforcing the company’s focus on innovation-led manufacturing, sustainability and technology-driven operational excellence. The visit formed part of a pre-MoU engagement aimed at exploring collaborative opportunities in advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence-driven process control and smart manufacturing systems to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability outcomes across manufacturing operations.

The visiting delegation included Dr. Jayaram Valluru and Dr. Navin Gopinathan, who were welcomed by Trident’s Innovation Team and introduced to the company’s integrated manufacturing ecosystem at Trident Dhaula. The discussions focused on process optimisation, intelligent automation, resource efficiency and the integration of emerging technologies into large-scale industrial operations. During the visit, the IIT Ropar delegation was provided detailed insights into Trident’s innovation-driven manufacturing practices and sustainability initiatives, with particular emphasis on the company’s efforts to leverage data-centric decision-making and advanced operational analytics.

The engagement concluded with strategic discussions involving Rajnish Gera, Dr. N. C. Ray, along with members of Trident’s Innovation and Operations teams. The interaction established a clear roadmap for future collaboration focused on technology-led advancements in manufacturing and sustainable industrial practices. “This engagement reflects Trident’s continued commitment to strengthening industry–academia partnerships and accelerating innovation by integrating academic research with industrial expertise,” the company said in a statement. The collaboration is expected to pave the way for applied research initiatives, intelligent manufacturing solutions and next-generation process innovations aligned with the evolving needs of the manufacturing sector.
