Congress MPs stage protest outside parliament against paper leaks
Mann is shamelessly lying on paper leaks in Punjab : Warring
Says, six paper leaks took place during AAP tenure
Asks CM to apologise to 5 lakh affected students
Asserts, concerned minister will have to go
Chandigarh 27 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Congress MPs from Punjab today staged a protest against the paper leaks and police barbarity against the safai-karamcharis in Punjab, outside the parliament house. The Congress MPs also accused the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of shamelessly lying by denying that any paper leaks took place in Punjab during the AAP tenure, while six paper leaks had taken place during the AAP tenure, so far. The MPs included PCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Dr Amar Singh, Gurjeet Singh Aujla and Sher Singh Ghubaya. They were holding placards and demanding justice for five lakh students who suffered because of paper leaks in Punjab. They also demanded an apology from the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, for paper leaks and to the safai-karamcharis who were brutalized by the Punjab Police when they were staging a peaceful protest.
Warring said that the Chief Minister was shamelessly lying by saying that no paper leak took place in Punjab during the AAP tenure. Reacting to Mann’s claims, Warring said, six paper leaks had taken place during the last four and a half years and still the Chief Minister had the audacity to deny it all. He asked, if the paper leaks did not take place why were FIRs registered. The PCC president said that about five lakh students and job aspirants were affected by the paper leaks that took place in Punjab. “If Mann or his leaders from Delhi believe that they can brush aside the paper leaks under the carpet they are badly mistaken”, he said, while reiterating that the Congress will continue with its campaign for resignation of the minister. Asking the Chief Minister to apologise to the affected students and their parents, Warring asked him to either sack the concerned minister or own the moral responsibility and resign himself. “Accountability has to be fixed. Guilty has to be finished. Will not let it go like this”, he asserted.
