Forest Workers Union Punjab held a meeting with the Forest Minister
In the meeting, the Forest Minister assured that 516 forest workers will be made permanent soon
Patiala/S.A.S.Nagar 6 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Today, on July 6, the Forest Workers Union Punjab held a meeting with the Honorable Lal Chand Kataruchak, Forest Minister Punjab and President Chief Forester Dharminder Sharma, Additional Chief Forester Churchill Kumar, Additional Chief Forester Sorav Gupta and Superintendent Inderjit Singh and the administrative staff at Van Bhawan Mohali. In the meeting, the Honorable Forest Minister assured the organization that the appointment of 14 workers will be discussed in the coming cabinet and a letter will be issued to all the forest division officers of Punjab to get the medical and police verification of 516 illiterate workers done and in the month of July, those 516 workers will be given appointment letters through the Chief Minister of Punjab and will be given financial liberty.
While the arrears are pending, the budget for salaries was assured to be paid soon and the Screening Review Committee address was issued to amend the seniority list of 16.05.2023. All the officers were instructed on the spot to run new work in the department and to prepare the seniority list by 31st March 2026. Other important demands were agreed upon.
In today's meeting, among others, the state president of the organization Amrik Singh Garshankar, state secretary Jaswinder Singh Sauja, secretary Jasbir Singh Sira were present. Finance Secretary Amandeep Singh Chhat, Senior Vice President Ranjit Gurdaspur, Ser Singh Sirhind, Kewal Garhshankar, Ravikant Ropar, Sulakhan Singh, Satnam Sangrur, Babbu Singh Samao, Ravi Ludhiana, Bhupinder Singh Sadhoheri and PSSF provincial leader Gurvinder Singh Khamano and other provincial leaders from various districts were present in the meeting.
