Chandigarh 2 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Chandigarh Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated Chartered Accountants Day (CA Day) on Wednesday with enthusiasm and dignity. The celebrations began in the morning with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the ICAI building in Sector 35, attended by a large number of Chartered Accountants and chapter office-bearers, notably Chairman Sahil Garg, Vice Chairman Rachit Goyal, Amanjot Singh, and Sanjeev Kumar.
Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended a grand function held at 'The Palms' in the evening as the chief guest, while senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon and Mayor Saurabh Joshi were present as guests of honor. Extending his best wishes to the Chartered Accountant community on CA Day, he lauded their pivotal role in strengthening the country's economic progress, financial transparency, and good governance. He remarked that Chartered Accountants are not merely financial experts but also vital partners in the process of nation-building.
During the event, office-bearers of the ICAI Chandigarh Chapter welcomed and honored the Governor and shared details regarding the chapter's activities and achievements. The highlight of the cultural evening was a Sufi music performance by the renowned Nizami Brothers. Their captivating singing mesmerized the guests and members present. The event concluded with a dinner hosted for all the guests. Office-bearers of the ICAI Chandigarh Chapter, senior Chartered Accountants, dignitaries from various fields, and a large number of members attended the occasion.
