Jasbir Singh Bunty Elected President of Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society for the Third Consecutive Term
Chandigarh 11 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A meeting of the General House of the Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society was held at Hotel Gaur, Sector 43, Chandigarh. The meeting was presided over by the Society's General Secretary, Amandeep Singh. At the beginning of the meeting, the incumbent executive committee was formally dissolved, and Anil Vohra was unanimously appointed as the Returning Officer to conduct the election process.
Returning Officer Anil Vohra asked the members present whether an election should be held for the post of President or if any other member wished to contest. In response, all members present unanimously decided—by a show of hands—to appoint former Senior Deputy Mayor and Councilor Jasbir Singh Bunty as the President of the Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society for the next three years. This proposal was seconded by Karam Singh (Dashmesh Tent House) and Raju Dhaliwal (Raju Tent House). Subsequently, all members stood up and, by a show of hands, unanimously elected Jasbir Singh Bunty as the Society's President for the third consecutive term.
Upon being elected President for the third time, Jasbir Singh Bunty expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the members for placing their trust in him once again. He stated that he would strive to live up to the confidence and affection shown by the members—who had entrusted him with this responsibility for a third consecutive term—with complete dedication and honesty. He affirmed that he would continue to work with full commitment to further strengthen the organization, protect the interests of every member associated with the tent business, and stand by all members through both their joys and sorrows.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the programs and activities planned for the upcoming year. The Society's statement of accounts and the audit report were presented to the House and unanimously approved. Additionally, various issues concerning the members and future plans for the organization were deliberated upon in detail.
