MY Bharat Punjab & Chandigarh Launches Intensive Youth Registration & Awareness Drive (1 July – 15 August 2026)

Chandigarh 7 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, has launched an Intensive Youth Registration & Awareness Drive across the country from 1 July to 15 August 2026 to accelerate youth registration on the MY Bharat Portal and strengthen youth participation in nation-building.
Addressing a press conference, Rashmeet Kaur, State Director, MY Bharat Punjab, Shivdhan Sharma, UT Director, MY Bharat Chandigarh, and Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Chandigarh, appealed to the youth of Punjab and Chandigarh to register on the MY Bharat Portal and become active partners in the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Punjab has already recorded 5,62,959 youth registrations, while Chandigarh has registered 70,208 youth on the MY Bharat Portal. The ongoing campaign aims to significantly increase these numbers by reaching schools, colleges, universities, villages, blocks, and urban localities across both regions. MY Bharat is a transformative "Phygital" (Physical + Digital) platform that connects young people with opportunities for nation-building. Registered youth can access Experiential Learning Programmes (ELPs), Volunteer Opportunities (VOs), youth exchange programmes, flagship Government initiatives, internships, skill development, mentorship, and a verified digital volunteer identity with certificates and recognition for their contribution.
Speaking on the occasion, the officials said: "The youth of Punjab and Chandigarh have immense potential to contribute to India's growth. We appeal to every young person to join the MY Bharat movement and take advantage of the opportunities available through the platform. Special efforts are being made to ensure the participation of women, rural youth, differently-abled youth, and youth from every section of society." MY Bharat Punjab & Chandigarh has appealed to educational institutions, youth organisations, government departments, and all stakeholders to support the campaign and encourage maximum youth registration during the drive.
