Teachers Honoured, Students Engaged in Heartfelt Interaction and Tree Plantation at Government Model High School on the Auspicious Occasion of Guru Purnima
Chandigarh 29 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a heartfelt and inspiring programme was organised today at Government Model High School, Hallo Majra. On this special occasion, the school Principal, Mrs. Anuradha Gupta, along with all the teachers, was warmly welcomed and honoured with bouquets as a mark of respect and gratitude. During the programme, the teachers interacted warmly with the students and had the opportunity to understand their thoughts, feelings and aspirations. Meaningful discussions were also held on the sacred bond between teachers and students, the importance of education, and the bright future of the children. To celebrate the spirit of Guru Purnima, sweets were distributed and the teachers and all the distinguished guests were offered laddoos.
As part of the programme, the message of environmental protection was also highlighted. Principal Anuradha Gupta, the teaching staff and all those present planted a guava sapling on the school premises. On the occasion, it was conveyed that just as a teacher nurtures a student with knowledge, values and education and guides them towards a brighter future, we too must nurture plants with care so that they grow strong and flourish. The speakers said that teachers are the true guides of society. They not only impart academic knowledge to children but also inspire them to develop good values, discipline and moral character and encourage them to move forward on the path to success in life. On the pious occasion of Guru Purnima, expressing respect and gratitude towards teachers is a matter of great pride and privilege for all of us.
