The delegation met the Tehsildar to resolve the problems of the Village Darua.
Elderly people, women and citizens have to face a lot of difficulties in meeting the Patwari for their essential revenue work.
Chandigarh 2 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A delegation led by former Sarpanch of Village Darua, Gurpreet Singh Happy, met the Tehsildar to discuss the villagers' revenue-related problems. The delegation informed the villagers about the difficulties related to the availability of the Patwari. The delegation stated that the elderly, women, and other citizens face great difficulties in meeting the Patwari for their essential revenue work. People are not aware of the Patwari's availability on which day or at which location. Many times, when citizens reach Manimajra, they cannot find the Patwari there, while in Makhan Majra too, there is no fixed time for him to sit.
The delegation demanded that a fixed day and place be decided on Wednesday or Friday of the week, where the Patwari should sit regularly, so that the villagers can easily get their documents signed and other revenue related work done. The Tehsildar listened to the delegation seriously and assured them that the problem would be resolved soon. He said that necessary steps would be taken to establish a fixed time and place for the Patwari to meet, so that the villagers would not face unnecessary inconvenience. At the end of the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude to the Tehsildar for his positive attitude and cooperation.
