Unwavering Faith in the Guru is the Greatest Strength in Life
Chandigarh 8 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Human life is filled with changing circumstances. Joy and sorrow, gain and loss, success and failure, and unexpected events are all natural parts of life. However, none of these situations should weaken our faith in the Satguru and the Almighty. A true disciple is one who accepts the Satguru’s divine will in every situation and remains steadfast in faith and devotion. These thoughts were expressed by Colonel H.S. Guleria, Member Incharge, Parchar Parsar Department, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Delhi, while addressing devotees during a spiritual congregation at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 30, Chandigarh. Referring to an episode from the Mahabharata, he said that merely listening to the Guru’s teachings is not enough; they must be embraced with complete faith and put into practice. Doubt and inner conflict weaken a person, whereas complete trust in the Guru gives the strength to face every challenge. Just as Lord Krishna’s teachings guided Arjuna out of confusion and attachment onto the path of righteousness, the Satguru’s divine knowledge also guides a person through every struggle in life.
Colonel Guleria further said that there are times when a person feels surrounded by darkness and hopelessness, believing that all paths are closed. At such moments, unwavering faith in the Satguru’s grace and power fills the heart with renewed hope and courage. He emphasized that the Satguru never abandons His devotees. Even when circumstances seem unfavorable, one should believe that whatever the Satguru does is always for our highest good. During his discourse, he shared an inspiring incident and explained that the Satguru is fully aware of every emotion in the hearts of His devotees. At times, a devotee may be unable to understand circumstances with his limited intellect, but at the right moment, the Satguru, through His divine grace, enables the devotee to realize that His blessings are always with them. He said that true devotion is not founded merely on religious rituals, but on surrender, humility, and unwavering faith.Citing the life of Sant Kunwar Ram, he said that love for the Guru is the greatest treasure of human life. If a person becomes proud of his appearance, virtues, position, prestige, or service, and that pride distances him from the Satguru, then such qualities lose all their value. Therefore, every devotee should give the highest place in life to humility, selfless service, and love for the Guru. He further said that the Nirankari Mission has always conveyed the message of humanity, love, selfless service, brotherhood, and universal fraternity. The Mission's teachings inspire us to rise above the narrow boundaries of caste, religion, language, and region, to regard the entire human race as one family, and to lead our lives with love, cooperation, and harmony. He urged the devotees to illuminate their lives with the light of Brahm Gyan bestowed by the Satguru and to contribute towards establishing an atmosphere of love, peace, and harmony in society through their conduct, character, and thoughts. He said that in today's world, spirituality is the true strength that liberates human beings from stress, fear, and insecurity, enabling them to experience genuine happiness and inner peace.
The devotees present at the congregation listened to the spiritual discourse with deep devotion and reaffirmed their unwavering faith in the Satguru. The programme concluded with a collective Ardas, during which all devotees resolved to uphold the values of humanity, selfless service, love, harmony, and steadfast faith in the Satguru. Earlier, the Zonal In-charge, O.P. Nirankari, and the local Sanyojak, Navneet Pathak, on behalf of all the attendees, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Colonel Guleria for visiting Chandigarh from Delhi.
