An archived lecture by 99-year-old Swami A. Parthasarathy will be screened
Chandigarh 6 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Vedanta Institute Delhi and Chandigarh Tamil Sangam will jointly organize a Guru Purnima lecture in English on Sunday, August 9, 2026. 99-year-old Swami A. Parthasarathy's lecture will focus on "core values of life." The lecture program will begin with a bhajan at 11:00 a.m. at Bharati Bhawan, Chandigarh Tamil Sangam, Sector 30, Chandigarh, followed by a lecture from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and conclude with lunch at 1:00 p.m. This information was provided by Dr. Anuvian Veerabahu, a member of Vedanta Institute Delhi. S.P. Rajasekhar, President of the Tamil Sangam, and Shiva, General Secretary, were also present on the occasion.
Announcing the program at a press conference, Dr. Anuvian Veerabahu said the lecture would be a screening of an old lecture by 99-year-old Swami A. Parthasarathy. Swamiji, fondly known as Swamiji, is a renowned philosopher and a renowned expert on Vedanta. During his seven decades of selfless service to humanity, Swamiji's greatest contribution has been incorporating this ancient wisdom into modern life for a peaceful and rewarding life. He is the author of twelve books, including his most significant work, Vedanta Granth. Swamiji's lectures and seminars have captivated audiences worldwide. In 1988, he founded the Vedanta Academy in Malavali, near Pune, India, which offers a three-year, full-time residential course in Vedanta to students from around the world.
Dr. Veerabahu further stated that in this powerful discourse, Swamiji explains the core values of life—six eternal principles drawn from the wisdom of Vedanta that lead humans out of confusion, desire, and restlessness and toward a life of purpose, neutrality, and lasting contentment. The program is open to all, and admission is free. S.P. Rajasekhar stated that the Vedanta Institute of Delhi is deeply grateful for connecting the next generation to its values, traditions, and traditions through this lecture on Swami A. Parthasarathy. This lecture will also provide an opportunity for understanding.
