BRICS CCI Punjab hosts business meet with Russian delegates, explores trade and investment opportunities Chandigarh 26 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI), Punjab Chapter, organised a business meeting with a Russian delegation to strengthen trade, investment and business collaboration between Punjab and the Russian Federation. The meeting brought together representatives from the business community and Russian trade and industry sectors, with discussions focusing on expanding bilateral trade, identifying new investment opportunities and creating stronger connections between entrepreneurs and industrialists. Environment and Social Justice Commission of India Announces Punjab Chapter, Unveils 2026–27 Roadmap

Chandigarh 5 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Environment and Social Justice Commission of India (ESJCI) on Wednesday announced its Punjab Chapter and unveiled its 2026–27 action agenda, reaffirming its commitment to building a cleaner, healthier and climate-resilient Punjab through environmental protection and social justice. National Treasurer Anil Arora administered the oath to Manish Mahajan, Chairman of the Punjab Chapter, and Shubh Goyal, District Coordinator for Fatehgarh Sahib. The event was attended by Gajendra Phogat, Officer on Special Duty to the Haryana Chief Minister, and Punjab BJP Secretary Ekta Nagpal, who urged members to work with dedication towards environmental conservation and social welfare.

Launching the agenda, National President Ritik Arora said the Commission would build a strong statewide network to tackle climate-related challenges, particularly floods, while supporting relief efforts during natural disasters. Key priorities for 2026–27 include air pollution control, groundwater conservation, rainwater harvesting, flood management, afforestation, sustainable development and community participation to promote environmental protection and social justice. He emphasized that tree plantation and water conservation would remain major focus areas of the Commission.
