Hosted a grand Investiture Ceremony of the School Cabinet alongside the Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club and EarlyAct Club

Chandigarh 25 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, hosted a grand Investiture Ceremony of the School Cabinet alongside the Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club and EarlyAct Club, marking a significant milestone in nurturing leadership, responsibility and social commitment among students. The distinguished gathering included Dr Paramjit Singh, President, Local Management Committee; Inderjeet Singh, Vice-President; Manmohan Singh, Member In-charge; Ravinder Singh, Member, Local Management Committee, along with Rotarian Shabana Azam, Secretary, Rotary Club of Chandigarh, Rotarian Jatinder Kapur, Past President; Rotarian Arun Aggarwal, along with other esteemed members of the Rotary Club.

The programme commenced on a solemn note with the National Anthem, followed by the School Shabad. The Investiture Ceremony then unfolded with the ceremonial induction of the four Captains, Main Cabinet and Junior Cabinet, along with the two Rising Stars. The newly appointed office-bearers were ceremonially adorned with badges by the dignitaries, symbolising the trust vested in them and their commitment to lead by example. Adding substance and social relevance to the occasion, students presented an impactful play on e-waste, creatively portraying the 'Trial of Humanity vs Technology'. The thought-provoking presentation underscored the need for responsible technological consumption and sustainable waste management and received wide appreciation from the dignitaries. The Class II students further captivated the audience with a vibrant dance performance on plastic waste management, delivering a powerful environmental message through an engaging visual spectacle.

The Club Installation Ceremony followed, wherein the outgoing Presidents of the Interact Club and EarlyAct Club presented their annual reports, reflecting the clubs’ accomplishments and community initiatives. The ceremonial exchange of responsibilities culminated in the introduction and badge-pinning of the new teams, signifying the seamless transition of leadership. Addressing the gathering, Rotarian Shabana Azam congratulated the newly inducted office-bearers and encouraged them to lead with integrity, empathy and purpose. 

Dr Paramjit Singh also addressed the gathering and urged students to use technology judiciously and dispose of e-waste and plastic responsibly, emphasising that mindful choices today can safeguard society and the environment tomorrow. The programme culminated on a vibrant note with a mesmerising Giddha performance, celebrating Punjabi culture and leaving the audience enthralled. The Principal, Shama Kukkal, expressed her gratitude to the management, dignitaries, Rotarians, staff and students for their wholehearted support in making the event a resounding success. The ceremony concluded on a note of pride, promise and purpose, inspiring the young leaders to shoulder their responsibilities with dedication and make a meaningful difference to society.
