More than 50 families from AAP and BJP join the Congress Party under the leadership of Balbir Singh Sidhu in Village Kumbra

People of Punjab are fully prepared to form a Congress government in 2027 : Balbir Singh Sidhu

S.A.S.Nagar 4 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Senior Congress leader and former Health Minister of Punjab, Balbir Singh Sidhu, inducted more than 50 families who had left the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) into the Congress Party during an impressive public gathering held in Village Kumbra. A large number of Congress leaders, party workers, and prominent local residents were present on the occasion. Balbir Singh Sidhu warmly welcomed the new members by presenting them with ceremonial siropas (robes of honour) and floral garlands. Addressing the gathering, Balbir Singh Sidhu extended a heartfelt welcome to all the families who joined the Congress Party. He said that Congress has always been a party that gives due respect and recognition to its workers and the common people. He assured the new members that everyone joining the party would receive full respect, responsibilities based on their capabilities, and equal opportunities to grow within the organization. He emphasized that dedicated workers are the strength of the Congress Party and that every new member is an integral part of the Congress family.

Referring to the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, Balbir Singh Sidhu said that the people of Punjab have made up their minds for change and are fully prepared to give the Congress Party another opportunity to serve the state. He stated that Congress workers, from the booth level to villages, wards, blocks, and constituencies, are working tirelessly to strengthen the organization and take the party's ideology and policies to every household. He expressed confidence that with the trust and support of the people, Congress would form the government in Punjab in 2027 and would fulfill the aspirations of every section of society by creating new employment opportunities for youth, safeguarding farmers' rights, ensuring a business-friendly environment, and prioritizing development, prosperity, and public welfare.

Concluding his address, Balbir Singh Sidhu thanked all the families who joined the Congress Party and said that their decision was not merely about joining a political party but reflected the growing faith of the people in a better future for Punjab. He appealed to party workers to take the Congress Party's ideology and policies to every household, raise the people's issues with full commitment, and work together to form a strong, people-centric, and development-oriented Congress government in Punjab in 2027.
