Toronto/Chandigarh August 8 ( Hardev Chauhan/Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A campaign rally for current Mayor Carolyn Parrish was held in Mississauga. A massive meeting was held in their support, attended by over 300 sympathizers. People from Punjabi, Indian, Muslim, Chinese, Philippines and other communities participated in this rally. Everyone highly appreciated Mayor Carolyn Parrish's work over the past two years and assured her that we are with her. Mississauga's Deputy Mayor and Councillors were also specially present on this occasion.
Jagat Punjabi Sabha Chairman Ajaib Singh Chatha and President Sardul Singh Thiara said that many dignitaries including Baljit Singh Skand, Avtar Singh Minhas, Sarwan Singh Lidder, Colonel Baldev Singh Pandher and Surjit Singh Bath, from the Punjabi community, reached this rally. The leaders claimed during the meeting that Carolyn Parrish would be our next mayor. He urged all residents of Mississauga to vote for Carlin Parish and make it a success. Mississauga Deputy Mayor Matt Mahoney, Deputy Mayor John Kovac, and Councillors Brad Butt, Chris Fonseca, Steven Dusko, and Sue McFadden were also present on the occasion.
