Punjabi Film Ishq Parinde to Premiere on OTT on August 10
Chandigarh 7 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Punjabi feature film Ishq Parinde, a heartfelt romantic drama rooted in social realities, was officially launched at a grand event held at Ramgarhia Bhawan, Sector 27, Chandigarh. The entire cast and crew attended the launch, while noted Punjabi actor Malkit Rauni also graced the occasion.The event’s chief guest, Manvinder Ranauta, President of Ramgarhia Sabha, extended his best wishes to the filmmakers and expressed confidence in the film’s success. The project is a significant initiative by young producer sisters Lovepreet Ghuman and Preet Ghuman, who have backed the film under the Ghuman Production banner. Ishq Parinde is set to premiere exclusively on the Chaupal OTT platform on August 10.
The film tells the emotional story of a financially struggling young man burdened with supporting his family and arranging the marriage of his unmarried sister. Poverty repeatedly shatters his hopes, including several marriage proposals for his sister. Amid these hardships, he falls in love with a college girl from a wealthy family. However, her father rejects the relationship and marries her off to another man.
After marriage, the young woman discovers that her husband is involved in illegal activities and is eventually arrested by the police. Meanwhile, devastated by the loss of his beloved, the young man spirals into alcoholism. Whether fate reunites the two lovers and whether their love ultimately triumphs forms the emotional core of Ishq Parinde.
The story has been written by Chamkor Biroke, while Shiv Kaims has directed the film. It has been produced by Aman Poonia and Preet Ghuman under the Ghuman Production banner. The film features Gavy Daska, Lovepreet Ghuman, Baljit Bawa, Preet Ghuman, Malkit Rauni, Baljinder Kaur, Harpal Gill, Kulwinder Kaur, Kuldeep Niyami, Manju Mahal, Dharminder Mann, Jagtar Benipal, Vadda Sarao, Babbal Kaur, Mintu Kotkapura, Arsh Ghuman, Jatinder Tinka, Raman Kaur, Randhir Dheera, Jagjit Jaggi, Deepi Mand and Komal in prominent roles. The film’s music has been composed by Mani Bhawanigarh.
