Goldy was detained by the police during Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Sangrur. Warring said that Goldy had announced in advance that he had certain questions to ask to the Chief Minister. However, much before the Chief Minister’s visit, Goldy was detained and prevented from asking any questions. “I wonder why Bhagwant Mann is afraid of Goldy?” Warring asked, while telling him that today he may be able to use the Punjab Police but within a few months more once the code of conduct is in place, how can he stop people from asking questions. MY Bharat organises ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ programme at Dev Samaj College for Women
Chandigarh 20 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : As many as 212 young boys and girls participated in the Nasha Mukti Shapath Chakra and Signature Campaign organised by MY Bharat Chandigarh at Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45, on Saturday as part of the nationwide opening programme of the 100-week-long ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Abhiyan’. The programme, organised by MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, aimed at engaging young people in the national campaign against drug and substance abuse and encouraging them to become active ambassadors of a healthy and drug-free society.
The Nasha Mukti Shapath Chakra and Signature Campaign remained the key attraction of the programme, with 212 participating youth taking a collective pledge and putting their signatures in support of the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign. Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, Chandigarh, said: “The 100-week-long Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Abhiyan is a nationwide youth-led movement, and Chandigarh's young people have an important role to play in taking its message to every college, institution and community. Our objective is not merely to create awareness, but to empower youth to become active ambassadors of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.”
