National meeting of All India State Government Employees Federation held in Srinagar

Employees from all over the country will participate in the Delhi rally on December 12

Chandigarh 24 September ( Ranjeet singh Dhaliwal ) : The Central Committee meeting of the All India State Government Employees Federation, representing the employee organizations working in different provinces of the country, was held in Srinagar on September 12 and 13. About 26 employee organizations from 18 provinces of the country participated in this meeting. The meeting was attended by PSSF State General Secretary and National Vice President Tirath Singh Bassi, PSSF Senior Vice President and National Executive Member Karamjit Singh Behla and State President of Women Employees Coordination Committee and National Women Sub-Committee Member Harmanpreet Kaur Gill. The meeting was inaugurated by the flag hoisting ceremony of the organization by National President Subhash Lamba. After that, addressing the open session, CITU Jammu Kashmir President and MLA Yusuf Taragami welcomed the delegates from different provinces of the country and mentioned the history of Jammu and Kashmir, the contribution of the people of this state in the independence of the country and the conditions of Jammu and Kashmir at the time of his arrival. He expressed the hope that in this meeting, the All India State Government Employees Federation will come up with constructive ideas to lead the employees and other working people of the country properly and launch a new struggle.

After this, the two-day meeting was started under the leadership of the presidium consisting of the National President of the All India State Government Employees Federation Subhash Laba, General Secretary A Sri Kumar, Treasurer Shashikant Rai, National Vice President Tirath Singh Bassi, Joint Secretary Rashid Nazar, Prashant Jamode. First of all, tributes were paid to the employees and labor leaders who have passed away since the last Faridabad meeting. In the meeting, a report on the past work was presented by General Secretary A. Sri Kumar, on which employees from different provinces not only presented their views on this report but also presented reports on the activities carried out in their respective states. The questions raised in the meeting on the next day were answered by the General Secretary. The main issues of the employees of the center and provinces were discussed in the meeting, which included regularizing the services of raw employees with full grades and allowances, implementing old pension, outsource, governmentization of daily-wage workers, bringing employees working on incentives, honorarium within the scope of minimum wage, payment of installments of dearness allowance, stopping downsizing of departments, etc.

In the meeting, a report was presented by Sathi Tirath Singh Bassi from Punjab in which a detailed report was presented on the struggles being jointly carried out by employees and pensioners in Punjab and the activities being carried out independently by PSSF and by the organizations related to PSSF and Harmanpreet Kaur Gill presented a report on the activities being carried out by women employees in the state and the struggles being carried out by Mid-Day Meal, ASHA workers. She requested the national leaders to send a national women leader to the state convention being held in Jalandhar on October 2 by the Women Employees Coordination Committee. In this regard, it was announced regarding the next programs that on December 12, a grand national level rally will be held in Delhi by the All India State Government Employees Federation so that the central government can be forced to accept the demands of the employees. To make this rally a success, all the provinces of the country were asked to hold sub-level mass meetings/conventions in which the national leaders will participate. The national president thanked all the executive members and employee leaders of Kashmir by giving a message for the next meeting on December 12-13 at Sukomal Sen Bhawan, Faridabad.
