RWA Sector 18 held a meeting with police officials regarding security in Sector 18 Chandigarh 19 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : An important meeting was held at the Sector 18 Community Center on Saturday, September 19th, to discuss the security situation in the area and the concerns of residents. DSP-East P Abhinandan and Sector 19 Police Station in-charge Sarita Roy were special guests at the meeting. Organized under the auspices of RWA Sector 18 official Harman Mehta, the event was attended by Dr. Rajneesh Sharma, President of RWA Sector 18 A and B, and officials Sandhya Dharam, Sandhya Dham, and Harmel Singh, President of RWA Sector 18 D, and Harinder Bhatti, along with area councilors Anoop Gupta and Sumita Kohli, among others. Book on the Life of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri Released
Bhai Ranjit Singh stresses the need to take the struggles and ideology of martyrs to the younger generation
S.A.S.Nagar 13 Sepember ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A book titled ‘Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri’, based on the life, struggles and ideology of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri, was released on Saturday at a special समारोह held at Windhyam Hotel–Mohali Club in Phase 11. Former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhai Ranjit Singh, attended the समारोह as the chief guest. During the event, speakers discussed the life, struggles, ideology and contribution of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri to society. They said that preserving the lives and struggles of martyrs who made significant contributions to history through books and taking their thoughts to the younger generation was the need of the hour.
Prominent personalities including Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Santa Singh Umaidpur and Prem Singh Chandumajra also attended the event. A discussion on the book was organised, during which speakers recalled the life and social contribution of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri. Gurwinder Singh Doomchheri, son of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri, said the objective behind compiling the book was to document and preserve important events from his father’s life, his struggles and his ideology. He said the book would help the younger generation understand his life and draw inspiration from his ideals and contribution.
