Impartial Probe into Alleged Illegal Occupation of Government Land in Nanu Majra Demanded : Councillor Gurpreet Kaur Ubha
S.A.S.Nagar 24 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Municipal Councillor of Ward No. 41, Mohali, Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Ubha, has demanded an impartial investigation into the alleged illegal occupation of approximately 1.5 acres of government land in Nanu Majra Village Panchayati land in Sector 86 Mohali She stated that on July 10, 2026, she submitted a written request to the concerned authorities seeking demarcation (Nishandehi) of the land and leasing out the cultivable Panchayati land in villages Sambhalki and Nanu Majra through a transparent bidding process.
She said that the role of Parvinder Singh Bagera and others named in the Nanu Majra matter should be investigated fairly and an FIR registered if sufficient evidence of an offence is found. She also demanded the removal of illegal encroachments established through due process and information on the action taken on her complaint. She emphasised that government and Panchayati land is public property and must be protected through transparent and impartial administrative action.
