Chandigarh 21 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On the fourth day of the Shiva Mahapuran Katha, organized at the Sri Satyanarayan Temple Complex in Sector 22 on the auspicious occasion of Purushottam month, Goodwill Ambassador Puranacharya Swami Dr. Ramnik Krishna Ji Maharaj narrated the auspicious story of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Parvati, daughter of the mountain king Himalaya and Maina, performed rigorous penance like ascetics to attain Shiva. Despite her parents' refusal, Parvati, determined to attain Shiva, refused to listen to anyone and performed penance to attain Shiva. After years of meditation without eating anything, her body became like straw, and hence she was called Goddess Aparna. The Saptarishis, at Shiva's behest, tested the Goddess, calling Vishnu a treasure trove of virtues, and declared that Shiva resides in the cremation grounds.
However, the Goddess declared that Shiva is her Lord. Pleased, the Saptarishis granted a boon. The wedding procession of Lord Shiva was arranged. Gods, Kinnars, Gandharvas, and snakes all marched in the Lord's wedding procession. Seeing Shiva's form, Maina panicked. "I will jump off the mountain with my daughter, but will not marry her to Shiva." Narada arrived with the Saptarishis, allaying all sorrow, and recounted the story of Parvati's previous life. Maina was delighted. The wedding altar was decorated. Brahma read the marriage invitation. Lord Ganesha was worshipped first in the Shiva wedding. This is surprising, considering that Lord Ganesha is an eternal deity. Maina taught Parvati the ins and outs of married life.
The gods showered flowers. The entire world was blessed. Anyone who listened to this beautiful Shiva wedding story would be a true devotee of Shiva. Today, senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon, co-incharge of Himachal Pradesh, specially attended the saga and worshipped the stage and received blessings. On this occasion, Patron Rakesh Kumar Garg, Patron Dulichand, Chairman Jai Bhagwan Garg, President Rajkumar Singla, Surendra Nayab, Rajveer Garg, Fakir Chand, Deepak Mittal, Roshan Lal, Shyamlal Bansal along with Murti Bansal along with her entire women's group were present from the temple assembly.
