Gurmat Samagam to Be Held in Mohali on October 10 to Mark Guru Ram Das Ji’s Gurpurab Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj to Be Chief Guest; Preparations in Final Stage S.A.S.Nagar 9 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A Gurmat Samagam will be organised on October 10 in the park opposite Lambiyan Sahib Gurdwara Sahib in Phase 8, Mohali, on the occasion of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji’s Gurpurab. Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj, Acting Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, will attend the samagam as the chief guest. Preparations for the event are underway in full swing. Parvinder Singh Sohana, Mohali district in-charge of the Shiromani Akali Dal, along with his team, inspected the arrangements at the venue, including the tents and other facilities. Rare male breast cancer patient operated upon successfully at Park Nidaan Hospital
Sonipat 11 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : An extremely rare male breast cancer patient was successfully operated upon by Dr. AK Arun Dhankhar , senior general & laparoscopic surgeon and his team at Park Nidaan Hospital, Sonipat. The patient was suffering from chest lumps, swelling and pain for some time. Initially, he ignored it as a normal problem, but when the problem worsened, he was found to have breast cancer. Dr. Arun Dhankhar said that people usually associate breast cancer only with women whereas men can also develop the disease. However, the disease is extremely rare in men and only about 1% of total breast cancer cases are found in men, he informed.
He further said that timely diagnosis and proper treatment led to a successful outcome of surgery. The patient is now healthy. According to Dr. Dhankhar, due to lack of awareness, men often ignore the early symptoms, which can lead to the disease taking a serious turn. He urged to seek specialist advice immediately if someone noticed any lump, swelling, persistent pain in the chest, discharge from the nipples or changes in the skin. The successful treatment of early stage cancer is possible, Dr. Dhankhar opined.
