Builders encroach on slip roads, dumping ground-like conditions around parks : Ubha

S.A.S.Nagar 15 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Today, BJP State Press Secretary Hardev Singh Ubha and his wife Gurpreet Kaur Ubha, Councilor Ward No. 41 Mohali, visited the park located in front of Purab Apartment and to the left of Hero Homes in Sector-88 and the surrounding area based on the continuous complaints received from the residents of the area. During the visit, it was revealed that builders have encroached on slip roads, due to which people are facing huge difficulties in transportation. Apart from this, dumping ground-like conditions have been created around the parks. There are piles of garbage at various places and the entire area is filled with dirt.
The condition of the parks is also very bad. The plants are not being watered on time and there is no permanent water supply in the park. The residents of the area are forced to take care of the plants by bringing water from their homes. Councilor Gurpreet Kaur Ubha demanded from the Municipal Corporation Mohali and the concerned administration that the encroachments made on the slip roads by the builders should be removed immediately and the slip roads should be vacated. Special cleaning of the parks and the surrounding area should be done. The dirt spread around the Verka booth should be removed immediately. Regular maintenance of the parks and timely supply of water should be ensured. Necessary action should be taken by fixing the responsibility of the concerned contractors and officials. Is this the picture of our Smart City Mohali? The administration should intervene immediately in this serious matter and provide relief to the people.
