Shri Ram Bhandara Committee organized a langar (langar) on Nirjala Ekadashi.
Fresh sugarcane juice was distributed among passersby.
Chandigarh 25 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On the auspicious occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, the Shri Ram Bhandara Committee organized a langar (langar) and sugarcane juice distribution in front of Namdev Bhawan, Sector 21. People distributed chole-kulcha, chapati, curry, and halwa as prasad. Arun Agarwal, President of the Shri Ram Bhandara Committee, explained that all Ekadashis hold special significance in Hinduism, but Nirjala Ekadashi holds the greatest importance. Nirjala Ekadashi is considered the most significant Ekadashi of the year.
On this day, people worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. It is believed that fasting on this day fulfills all wishes, increases wealth and prosperity, and bestows good fortune. In such a situation, serving others on this day is also considered a good fortune. Four sugarcane juice machines have been installed at this Chhabil, and 10 quintals of sugarcane have been brought to quench people's thirst with the sweet juice. Apart from this, arrangements were made for a food distribution for 1000 people, 1000 bananas, 1000 Chaalai Laddus, Kulcha-Chole.IS Bansal, Arun Agarwal, Sumita Kohli, Shanti Manjhi, Narinder Singla, Amita Mittal, Keshav Bansal, Jagdish Gupta and others served in the langar service. Arun Agarwal informed that along with the food distribution to be organised by Shri Ram Bhandara Committee on the coming Saturday, arrangements have been made for 1000 glasses of lassi.
