Chandigarh INTUC President Nasib Jakhar placed under house arrest ahead of the Prime Minister's visit
Chandigarh 17 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit to Chandigarh today, Nasib Jakhar—the State President of Chandigarh INTUC and spokesperson for the Haryana Kisan Congress—has been placed under house arrest. This action was taken because Chandigarh INTUC had planned to show black flags in protest against the Prime Minister.
Nasib Jakhar stated that the "paper leak racket" has been going on for a long time under the BJP government; the recent NEET paper leak ruined the futures of lakhs of students, and 21 students even took their own lives. Furthermore, the BJP—which seized power in the name of Lord Ram—has hurt the sentiments of crores of Sanatanis by stealing donations meant for the Ram Mandir, yet no action has been taken against the main accused, nor have they been arrested.
Jakhar added that when he set out to show black flags to the Prime Minister in protest against this government's dictatorial attitude, the police surrounded his home and placed him under house arrest.
