Chandigarh Management Association elect Dr. Jatinder sehdev as President
Chandigarh 13 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) was held today at Engineers' Bhawan, Sector 19-A, Chandigarh, in the presence of a large gathering of CMA members, Past Presidents, Executive Committee members, organisational members and media partners. The meeting commenced with registration and networking, followed by the presentation of rewards and recognitions. The CMA Report 2025–26 was formally released before the commencement of the AGM proceedings. The House was called to order by the General Secretary, Dr. Navjot Kaur, who also presented the Annual Report 2025–26, highlighting the Association's achievements during the past year. Dr. Kaur outlined several key initiatives undertaken by CMA, including knowledge sessions, industry interactions, strategic collaborations, institutional partnerships, digital transformation initiatives, member engagement programmes and the signing of an MoU with Lamrin Tech Skills University. She acknowledged the collective efforts of the Executive Committee, Past Presidents, members and volunteers in revitalising the Association.
The minutes of the previous AGM were presented and approved, followed by the presentation and approval of the audited accounts. Members also approved the appointment of S. P. Babutas as the statutory auditors for the forthcoming financial year. Addressing the gathering, President Abhishek Gupta expressed gratitude to the outgoing Executive Committee for its dedicated service and appreciated the active participation of members in strengthening the Association. In his Presidential Address, he reaffirmed CMA's commitment to professional excellence, industry-academia collaboration and expanding opportunities for members. Following the completion of the election process, the new Executive Committee for the year 2026–27 assumed office. The newly elected office bearers are: President: Dr. Jatinderpal Singh Sehdev, Vice President: Dr. Navjot Kaur, General Secretary: Sukhwinder Singh Bhatia, Joint Secretary: Cdr. Jagmohan S. Bhogal, Treasurer: Abhinav Malhotra
The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by fellowship over lunch. Members expressed confidence that the newly elected Executive Committee would further strengthen CMA's role as a premier professional management association and continue promoting leadership, innovation and collaborative growth across the region.
