Paras Health Panchkula Marks Gratitude Week to Honour Doctors and Strengthen Trust in Healthcare
Panchkula 4 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On the occasion of National Doctors' Day, Paras Health Panchkula has joined a nationwide campaign by observing Gratitude Week from July 1 to 7 in partnership with the IHW Council. The week-long initiative aims to recognise the dedication, compassion and commitment of doctors while strengthening trust between healthcare professionals, patients and the community. As part of the campaign, Paras Health Panchkula is organising a series of activities, including Gratitude Walls, doctor appreciation ceremonies, an online tribute platform, and patient-led stories of appreciation. Patients, families, caregivers, employees and members of the community are being encouraged to express their gratitude to doctors and acknowledge the effort that goes into every medical decision.
The initiative highlights that quality healthcare is not only measured by successful outcomes but also by the years of training, experience, empathy and responsibility that doctors bring to patient care every day. By promoting appreciation and understanding, Gratitude Week seeks to reinforce confidence in the medical profession at a time when trust in healthcare is facing new challenges.
According to the 2026 Edelman Trust & Health Report, healthcare providers are increasingly competing with social media, peer opinions and artificial intelligence for public trust. In addition, a 2026 physician survey found that 44 per cent of doctors believe patients have become less likely to trust their treatment recommendations compared to a year ago. Against this backdrop, the campaign aims to foster stronger relationships between doctors and the communities they serve.
Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Facility Director, Paras Health Panchkula, said, "Gratitude Week is an opportunity to honour the individuals who dedicate their lives to healing others. Every doctor combines years of learning, clinical expertise and compassion to provide the best possible care for patients. We are proud to be part of this nationwide movement that encourages society to recognise the invaluable contribution of doctors and reinforces the trust and respect that form the foundation of a strong healthcare system."
Kamal Narayan Omer, CEO and Founder of the IHW Council, said, "Doctors stand by people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Through this collaboration with Paras Health Panchkula, we hope to inspire more people to acknowledge the resilience, compassion and selfless service of the medical fraternity and strengthen the culture of respect for healthcare professionals across the country."
