Mandeep Kaur, a tenant of village Kumbha, sold a minor girl and escaped with the connivance of the police
The parents of a girl who was sold earlier by Mandeep had mortgaged their land and got their daughter released by paying one and a half lakh rupees, the girl told the press about the ordeal
If the police do not recover the girl in a week, then the Mohali Phase 8 police station will be surrounded
S.A.S.Nagar 17 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : SC BC Maha Panchayat Punjab held a press conference on behalf of the SC BC Morcha running on the lights of Mohali Phase 7 and the widowed woman who was a victim of the police of Phase 8 under the leadership of President Balwinder Singh Kumbha. The victim woman says that my daughter Anjali (16 years old) daughter of late Lachhi Ram, who was a resident of Ferozepur (Punjab), was taken away by my neighbor Mandeep Kaur on the pretext of getting her a job. But after almost three months, she has not returned home till today.
About which I had given a written application to the Phase 8 police station ten days ago. But I am tired of visiting the police station for ten days. When we asked about my daughter in the police station, the missing girl who went with me (whom this same Mandeep Kaur had sold earlier and her parents had mortgaged their land and got her released by paying one and a half lakh rupees) and her mother were slapped by the ladies police and said very bad things. She said that suddenly my missing girl got a call from my daughter Anjali. She told that Mandeep Kaur had sold me to some people. I am now sitting in Rajasthan, these people are beating me, save me quickly - save me, the phone was disconnected. The woman got emotional and said that her husband had died before my daughter was born, my daughter Anjali was the only support for me to live. But the eight phase police did not provide me any justice.
On this occasion, talking to Pradhan Kumbha, she said that the Punjab government is running the Mothers, Sisters, Daughters Respectful Scheme campaign today. The real truth of it is how mothers and sisters of Punjab are being beaten openly in the police stations. She warned the Phase Eight police that if the friend who sold the victim's daughter Anjali is not arrested within a week and Anjali is not reunited with her mother, then a big struggle will be waged in the coming days and this police station will be surrounded. The list of victim families from this police station has now become very long. He said that after the arrest of Mandeep Kaur, many more revelations are likely to be made. It is also being suspected that how many more girls from Punjab may have been sold. On this occasion, senior leaders of the Morcha Harnek Singh Maloa, Karam Singh Kurdi, Master Banwari Lal, Numberdar Balwinder Singh Maloa, Bapu Labh Singh (Matka Chowk Wale), Gurwinder Singh, Babbal Chopra, Atul Sharma, Sharanjit Singh Raju, Malkit Singh etc. were present.
