Tree Plantation Drive Organized by Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society and RWA Sector-40A
Chandigarh 18 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Advancing the commitment to environmental conservation and a greener future, the Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society (Regd.), in collaboration with the Residents' Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector-40A, organized a grand tree plantation drive at the park located behind Lal Dwara Mandir in Sector-40A.
Former Senior Deputy Mayor and President of the Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society, Jasbir Singh Bunty, and the area's Councillor, Gurbax Rawat, attended the event as chief guests. Both dignitaries planted saplings to convey a message of environmental conservation and urged people to plant as many trees as possible and ensure their proper care. Prominent figures present on the occasion included the Society's Patron Suresh Sharma, General Secretary Amandeep Singh, Rajendra Kauda, Dinesh Gupta, Tarsem Sharma, Karam Singh, Hariom Rana, and RWA Sector-40A President Mr. Mishra, alongside a large number of society members, RWA office-bearers, and local residents.
In his address, Jasbir Singh Bunty stated, "The resolve of 'One Member, One Tree' is what can provide a clean and safe environment for future generations. We should not limit ourselves merely to planting saplings but must also shoulder the responsibility of their regular care and maintenance." At the conclusion of the event, all attendees pledged to plant more trees and work continuously towards environmental conservation. The Chandigarh Tent Dealers Society and RWA Sector-40A expressed their gratitude to all collaborators and participants for the successful organization of the event.
