Baranala 25 July ( PDL ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today led the candle light march against the irregularities in the NEET and the CBSE examination and also against the brutal police force used against the students protesting against these irregularities at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Accompanied by party leaders and hundreds of party workers, Warring marched through different streets and markets in the city. He interacted with people on the way who extended their support to the students’ cause.
Later addressing the gathering at the conclusion of the march, he said, the resignation of the union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was the victory of the youth against a corrupt and compromised education system in the country that has emerged under the BJP’s 12-year rule. The PCC president said that the fight will continue and Pradhan’s resignation was just the beginning of a long process. He said, the entire education system in the country needs to be reformed and overhauled to save the future generations.
Warring noted that similar cases of paper leaks had taken place in Punjab also. He said, the Punjab education minister was the next in line who deserves to be sacked. He pointed out, the Aam Aadmi Party leaders had been demanding Pradhan’s resignation. Now that Pradhan has resigned, the AAP must introspect and also sack its own minister for the same reasons for which Pradhan was made to resign.
