Warring asks Shah on finishing drugs Says, it is like post-dated cheque from a crashing bank Chandigarh 30 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today asked the union Home Minister Amit Shah as to why has he set such a long deadline, till December, 2029, for finishing the problem of drugs in Punjab. “Leave aside Punjab, who knows whether the BJP will be in power at the centre by then, as in all likelihood it will not?”, Warring asked while remarking, "it is like a long post-dated cheque of a crashing bank". He asked why did the BJP government at the centre woke up to the problem of drugs only on the eve of elections. Attractive Entrance and Swings Will Be the Center of Attraction
Chandigarh 31 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : As the festival season begins, a series of fairs begins in the city. Everyone is eagerly anticipating the start of these events and there is a special craze for them. In light of this, "Guru Ji Events" has brought the "Wonderland Chandigarh Carnival" to the city. Starting July 31st and running until August 24th, 2026, at the BOT Ground in Sector 34, the "Wonderland Chandigarh Carnival" will offer visitors attractive entrances, home decor, food stalls, swings for children and adults, and a food court.
Sanjeev Sharma, Managing Director of Guru Ji Events, explained that the festive season begins in August. The Rakhi festival is celebrated at the end of this month, and this carnival has been launched keeping this in mind. The mere mention of the carnival, Wonderland Chandigarh Carnival, evokes excitement and enthusiasm among children and their parents. The Wonderland Chandigarh Carnival, which begins July 31st and continues until August 24th, 2026, at the BOT Ground in Sector 34, will feature swings and toys for children. The main attractions will be the entrance and swings. More than 50 stalls selling home decor, furniture, handlooms, handicrafts, and food stalls have been set up for women to shop. 
Special arrangements have been made for children and adults to take selfies with cutouts of dinosaurs, Spiderman, dinosaur eggs, clowns, and famous characters. They further stated that routine rides include the Giant Wheel, Columbus Boat, Diana Carter, Caterpillar, Break Dance, Moon and Star, and Boating. The carnival organizers further stated that private security personnel and CCTV have been deployed for security at the carnival. Apart from this, fire fighting equipment has also been arranged to deal with any untoward incident like fire.
