Chandigarh Tri-City among India’s Next 11 Real Estate Markets; Association Welcomes Recognition
CII-Knight Frank report identifies Chandigarh among 11 city-regions that could emerge as the next growth engines
Association says rising demand and improved connectivity will further strengthen Tri-City’s real estate potential
Chandigarh 20 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Property Consultant Association Chandigarh has welcomed the inclusion of the Chandigarh Tri-City among India’s next major real estate markets. Association General Secretary Jitender Singh said the recognition reflects the growing potential of Chandigarh and its surrounding region as a real estate destination.
According to the new ‘India’s Next Real Estate Markets’ report by CII and Knight Frank, Chandigarh Tri-City is among 11 city-regions identified as the next potential growth centres for India’s real estate sector. The other markets include Coimbatore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhopal, Indore, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Goa and Kochi.
Jitender Singh said real estate activity in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities is gaining momentum due to infrastructure development, improved connectivity, employment opportunities and rising consumer demand. Chandigarh Tri-City, he added, has an added advantage due to its planned development and limited land availability. He said India’s real estate landscape could witness significant transformation by 2047, with emerging city-regions playing an increasingly important role in the country’s next phase of growth.
