Gurmat Samagam to Be Held in Mohali on October 10 to Mark Guru Ram Das Ji’s Gurpurab Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj to Be Chief Guest; Preparations in Final Stage S.A.S.Nagar 9 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A Gurmat Samagam will be organised on October 10 in the park opposite Lambiyan Sahib Gurdwara Sahib in Phase 8, Mohali, on the occasion of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji’s Gurpurab. Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj, Acting Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, will attend the samagam as the chief guest. Preparations for the event are underway in full swing. Parvinder Singh Sohana, Mohali district in-charge of the Shiromani Akali Dal, along with his team, inspected the arrangements at the venue, including the tents and other facilities. Paras Health Panchkula Marks World Heart Day with #APartOfYourHeart Campaign
Panchkula 29 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Paras Health Panchkula marked World Heart Day with the launch of #APartOfYourHeart, a community-focused campaign aimed at encouraging people to make heart health a personal priority and recognise the importance of prevention and timely medical care. The event was graced by Guest of Honour Seema Chaudhary, Ex-Mayor of Panchkula, and Karun Chaudhary, Advocate, High Court and Founder, Kesari Veer Foundation.
Leading specialists from Paras Health Panchkula participated in an expert interaction on cardiovascular health, risk factors, warning signs and the importance of regular health checks and timely medical consultation. The panel included Dr. Anurag Sharma, Chairman, Cardiology; Dr. Deepak Puri, Chairman, CTVS; Dr. (Maj. Gen.) Naveen Aggarwal, Chairman – Structural Heart Disease & EP Studies; Dr. Ankur Gupta, Associate Director, Cardiology; Dr. Lakshay Kumar Tuteja, Associate Consultant, CTVS; Dr. Karan Dang, Consultant, Cardiology; and Dr. Priyanka Goyal, Principal Consultant – Cardiac Anaesthesia. As part of the campaign, Paras Health Panchkula conducted Basic Life Support (BLS) training sessions from September 1 to 28, reaching more than 5,000 people across Resident Welfare Associations and corporate organisations. The sessions focused on recognising cardiac emergencies and providing timely basic support until professional medical help arrives.
The campaign also extended to public spaces, with Chandimandir Toll Plaza and Barwala Toll Plaza illuminated in red to spread awareness about heart health. The programme also featured musical therapy and stand-up comedy to make the awareness initiative more engaging for the community. Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Facility Director, Paras Health Panchkula, said, “Heart health needs attention well before a medical emergency occurs. Awareness of risk factors, regular health checks and timely medical consultation can help people take informed steps towards protecting their cardiovascular health. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage preventive care and make heart health a part of everyday priorities.” The campaign also highlighted the importance of regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, maintaining a healthy weight and managing conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.
