SAD announces dates for organisational polls

District and State delegates to be elected from April 2 to 6

Chandigarh 29 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal Parliamentary Board meeting was held today under the leadership of Working President Balwinder Singh Bhunder in which it was decided that organisational polls of the party will be held from April 2 onwards and in first phase District and State delegates will be elected by April 6, 2025. Disclosing this in a statement released from the party head office here today, Party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that in today’s meeting it was decided that those who have not submitted enrolment slips in party head office, they have been given time till March 31, 2025 to complete the process. He said that after 5.00 PM on March 31, no one will be allowed to submit enrolment slips. He said that on April 11 a meeting of all the observers of the party will be held in head office of the party in which they will be given guidelines as well as circle level delegate lists. He said that on basis of these lists election for District and State delegates will be held on Assembly segment basis from April 2 to 6 and on April 7th all observers will deposit lists of District and state delegates in party head office.Today’s Parliamentary Board meeting was attended by Gulzar Singh Ranike, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema and Hira Singh Gabiria whereas S. Maheshinder Singh Grewal attended the meeting online.
