He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. S.A.S.Nagar 29 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A farewell party, ‘Ruksat 2025’, was organized at Khalsa College (Amritsar) of Technology and Business Studies, Phase-3A, where junior students gave a heartfelt farewell to the senior students of B.Com, B.Com Honours, B.B.A., B.C.A., B.A., P.G.D.C.A., M.Sc. IT, M.A. Sociology, MBA, and M.Com. The event featured competitions for Mr. and Miss Farewell, Mr. Handsome, and Miss Charming, which became the center of attraction for the audience. Students walked the ramp in beautiful outfits, showcasing their charm and elegance. During the event, junior students performed a variety of cultural programs, including folk songs, Western music, and dances, which captured everyone's attention. In the Mr. and Miss Farewell competition, Amanpreet Kaur from the 6th semester of B.C.A. was crowned Miss Farewell, and Anmol Singh from the 6th semester of B.B.A. was crowned Mr. Farewell. Meanwhile, Japnam Singh from the 6th semester of B.C.A. won the title of Mr. Handsome, and Mamta Rani from the 6th semester of B.A. received the title of Miss Charming. The event was graced by the Principal of the college, Dr. Harish Kumari, as the Chief Guest. While addressing the students, she emphasized that only those who work hard in life achieve their goals. Dr. Harish extended her best wishes to the students and inspired them to become responsible citizens of society, bringing honor to their parents, college, and professors.
