He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The Ludhiana MP made a strong case for providing debt relief to the small and marginal farmers through one time settlement by waiving off their interests. This noble initiative is being organised under the leadership of social workers Rajeev Mittal and Lucky Singh, who have been actively involved in social and religious services for a long time. They stated that Shaheedi Dihara reminds us of the great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for humanity, faith, and justice. Paying tribute to their sacrifices through Langar Seva is the primary objective of this programme.
