Panchkula 30 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Advances in medical technology are making even the most complex brain surgeries safer and more precise. Demonstrating this progress, Paras Health Panchkula has successfully performed a neuronavigation-guided brain tumor surgery on a patient with a tumor located in an eloquent area of the brain—regions responsible for vital functions such as speech, movement, and sensation.
The complex procedure was led by Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Senior Consultant – Neurosurgery, and was completed with high precision. The patient is recovering well and has shown no post-operative neurological complications, marking a significant milestone for advanced neurosurgical care in the region.
Tumors located in eloquent areas of the brain pose a major surgical challenge, as even a minor deviation during surgery can result in permanent neurological damage. In this case, the tumor was removed successfully, and the patient is recovering without the neurological issues we usually worry about.”
