Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society hold joint meeting of the Local Committee and the Executive Committee (Chandigarh)
Chandigarh 18 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A joint meeting of the Local Committee and the Executive Committee, Chandigarh, of the Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society was held at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh. The meeting was conducted under the esteemed patronage of Chief Patron Bhai Saheb Bhai Ashok Singh Bagharia and Patron Dalip Singh Banga, under the able leadership of Dr. Paramjit Singh, President of the Local Committee. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding boosting the academic standards in the school. The members appreciated the remarkable achievements of students in various fields during the previous academic session.
The students of the school brought laurels by performing exceptionally well in inter-school, state-level, and national-level competitions, winning numerous medals and accolades. In the field of sports, students excelled in swimming, weightlifting, judo, chess, and fencing, securing several gold, silver, and bronze medals. The fencing teams also performed commendably across different categories, winning multiple silver and bronze medals. At the state level, students achieved top positions in basketball, fencing, Gatka, chess, and athletics, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals. In the 69th School National Games held at Ludhiana, the Gatka team (girls) delivered a commendable performance, securing silver and bronze medals in events such as Single Soti and Free Soti.
In the field of music, students secured first and second positions at the zonal level and in Group Shabad Gayan, bringing pride to the institution. The NSS wing of the school also achieved notable success, securing second position in the State-level Independence Day Parade and first position in the Republic Day Parade.
Academically, the school continued its tradition of excellence. Student Kapish Mittal achieved an outstanding 99.99 percentile in JEE Main, setting a remarkable benchmark. Several other students also scored in the 95–99 percentile range, reflecting the strong academic foundation and the dedicated efforts of both staff and students. The school management expressed great pride in the achievements of the students and appreciated their hard work and dedication. They also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the institution and taking it to greater heights in the future.
