ਜ਼ੀਰਕਪੁਰ 10 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ( ਰਣਜੀਤ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ) : ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮਾਡਰਨ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਡਰੇਨੇਜ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਵੱਲ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਮਿਊਂਸਿਪਲ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਉਦੈਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਲੋਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰੇਨੇਜ ਲਾਈਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਲੋਨੀ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਮੰਗ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਅੱਜ ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲੋਨੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਮਿਊਂਸਿਪਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ। ਡਰੇਨੇਜ ਲਾਈਨ ਪੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲੋਨੀ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲੋਨੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਆਰ.ਐਲ. ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੰਮੀ, ਬਲਦੇਵ, ਰੇਨੂ ਰਾਣਾ, ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਲੋਨੀ ਵਾਸੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਗੂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਦੀਪਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਮੀਦ ਜਤਾਈ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
