He said that during the crucial paddy transplantation season, farmers are receiving neither adequate canal water nor sufficient electricity, putting thousands of acres of crops at risk of drying up. Sidhu stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly claimed that canal water has been ensured up to the tail-end areas of the irrigation network. Anand Singla Appointed Chairman of Chandigarh Province; BJP Treasurer Pradeep Bansal Takes Charge as Chandigarh Unit President
Chandigarh 30 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a major organisational reshuffle, the Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal Sammelan has appointed Anand Singla as the Chairman of its Chandigarh Province. Singla was previously serving as the President of the Chandigarh unit of the organisation. The new responsibility has been entrusted to him in recognition of his organisational abilities, dedication, and long-standing contribution to the Samaj. In another key appointment, Pradeep Bansal, General Secretary of the organisation and Treasurer of the BJP Chandigarh unit, has been named the President of the Chandigarh Unit of the Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal Sammelan, Chandigarh Province. The leadership acknowledged his active role in the organisation, commitment to social service, and strong organisational network in Chandigarh while assigning him the new responsibility.
The appointments have been widely welcomed by members of the Agrawal community, with a large number of prominent citizens and community leaders visiting their residences to congratulate them. Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Bansal said that a new provincial executive committee would soon be constituted to further strengthen the organisation in Chandigarh. He also announced a special campaign to connect a larger number of members of the Agrawal community with Agroha Shaktipeeth, the spiritual and cultural centre of faith for the community, with the objective of infusing new energy into the organisation and strengthening it further at the provincial level.The newly appointed Chairman and President were felicitated at their residences by members of the Agrawal community, who presented them with bouquets, garlands, and ceremonial stoles. Those who attended the felicitation included Sat Prakash Agrawal, Jagmohan Garg, former Mayor Anoop Gupta, Chander Garg, Ajay Garg, Janak Raj Garg, Deepak Jindal, Vinod Bansal, Puneet Bansal, Shinu Agrawal, Sushil Agrawal, Avnish Bansal, Subhash Gupta, Mukesh Garg, Mohinder Kansal, Sunil Bansal, Neeraj Gupta, Salil Bansal and Rakesh Gupta, all of whom assured the newly appointed leadership of their full support.
