Jagat Punjabi Sabha Toronto to hold ‘Geet, Ghazal, Shayari’ event on August 16 Toronto/Chandigarh 2 August ( Hardev Chauhan/Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The monthly literary event ‘Geet, Ghazal, Shayari’ organized by Jagat Punjabi Sabha Toronto for the promotion of Punjabi language, literature and culture will be held this time on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at 134 Kennedy Road, Toronto (Canada). Ajaib Singh Chatha, Chairman of Jagat Punjabi Sabha Toronto, said that the chief guest of this year's event will be Bal Mukand Sharma. Their presence will make the event special. The event will feature performances of songs, ghazals, poems and poetry by renowned poets, singers and literature lovers, which will showcase the beauty of Punjabi literature and culture. Inter-DPS Quiz 2026 to Be Held on July 23–24 at DPS Chandigarh
Chandigarh 21 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Delhi Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, under the aegis of The Delhi Public School Society, will host the Inter-DPS Quiz 2026 (Zone-1) on July 23 and 24, bringing together students from 19 DPS schools across North India to showcase their knowledge and intellectual abilities.
The competition will be conducted in two categories. The Junior Category will feature students from Classes VI to VIII, while the Senior Category will include participants from Classes IX to XII. The quiz aims to promote healthy competition, enhance general awareness, strengthen analytical thinking, and encourage a spirit of learning among students. The inaugural ceremony will be held on July 23 at 6:00 PM, with Dolly Chhanana, Director, The Delhi Public School Society, as the Chief Guest. The valedictory and prize distribution ceremony is scheduled for July 24 at 2:00 PM.
According to Reema Dewan, Director, DPS Chandigarh, the event will provide students with an excellent platform to demonstrate their intellectual capabilities while interacting and learning alongside participants from different DPS schools. Media representatives have been invited to cover the event.
