He said, the Aam Aadmi Party was likely to implode very soon with the government losing its majority as many MLAs are just waiting for the opportune moment which is not very far. “At no cost Mann is going to complete his tenure”, Warring claimed, saying even if the Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections are held on schedule in February 2027, Mann will not be the Chief Minister till then. CPI(M)-supporting farmers, labourers and employee organisations present themselves for arrest

S.A.S.Nagar 10 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Hundreds of workers led by CPI(M)-supporting class organizations, All India Kisan Sabha, All India Mazdoor Sabha and CITU, staged a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office and presented themselves for arrest. A large number of women belonging to the Anganwadi Union participated in this action, while the administrative officials refused to arrest the protesters, saying that the government had no plans to make any arrests. Earlier, workers of all the organizations gathered at the residence of renowned comrade Dr. Sher Singh and after this, they reached Gate No. 1 of the DC office in complete discipline. During the protest, the speakers loudly raised the demands of the India-US Free Trade Agreement, repeal of the Jee Ram Ji Act, repeal of the electricity-seed bill, and DA of employees and the Anganwadi Union.

The speakers said that the central and Punjab governments are involving the people in unnecessary issues. Ignoring the long-standing demands of the people, they are being exploited for petty interests. Today's protest was addressed by farmer leaders Comrade Balbir Singh Musafir, Comrade Shyam Lal Haibatpur, Comrade Chandrapal Lalru, Comrade Paramjit Singh Khizrabad, Comrade Dinesh, Kamaljit Singh, Charanjit Singh Sidhu, Naginder Kumar, Harkesh Rana and CPI leader Jaspal Dapper along with Gurdeep Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Baljit Kaur, Bhinder Kaur from Anganwadi Union and District Secretary of Janvardhi Istri Sabha Asha Rana etc.
