Chandigarh 13 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Chandigarh Congress Minority Department organised the “Sanjhi Virasat” programme at Hotel KC Residency, Sector 35-C, Chandigarh. The event conveyed a strong message of social unity, mutual brotherhood, cultural heritage and communal harmony. Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari, Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky, Punjab Shahi Imam Maulana Mohammad Usman Rehmani Ludhianvi, and AICC Chandigarh Minority Department In-charge Salim Bhatti were specially present on the occasion. Punjab Shahi Imam Maulana Mohammad Usman Rehmani Ludhianvi said that the real strength of India lies in its shared heritage, Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb and spirit of brotherhood. People belonging to different religions, languages and cultures have lived together in harmony in the country for centuries. He said that in the present times, it is extremely important to stay away from divisive thinking and promote love, humanity and brotherhood. He added that only when society remains united can the country become stronger.
Mohammad Asif Chaudhary, State Chairman of the Chandigarh Congress Minority Department and organiser of the programme, said that “Sanjhi Virasat” is not merely an event but a positive initiative aimed at bringing society together. He said that the beauty of Chandigarh lies in its diversity and the mutual brotherhood shared by people from all communities. “It is our responsibility to preserve this shared heritage and pass it on to future generations,” he said. Asif Chaudhary said that taking all sections of society along is essential for peace, harmony and development in the country.
