The meeting was addressed by Union President Amrik Singh, General Secretary Gopal Dutt Joshi, Senior Vice President Sukhwinder Singh Sidhu, Gurmeet Singh, Joint Secretary Harjinder Singh, and Varinder Singh, among others. CPDL Conducts ‘Cleanliness Drive’ at Government Model High School, Sector 36, under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Chandigarh 1 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) today conducted a cleanliness drive at Government Model High School, Sector 36, as part of the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The initiative, organised by CPDL, brought together employees and school students to clean the premises, and to reinforce the habit of keeping public spaces clean. Teams swept and cleared litter from the premises, sorted waste for disposal, and spent time with students on simple practices such as not littering and keeping shared spaces tidy. The school administration welcomed the effort, which was aimed at reinforcing the value of cleanliness amongst the students.
“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is not only a national mission; it is a daily responsibility we all share,” said Mr Brajesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, CPDL. “As a public service entity, CPDL is invested in Chandigarh’s progress in more ways than one.
