Chandigarh/Zirakpur 20 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The final day of Divyavista’s ‘Jadon Se Judo’ Women’s Digital Ramlila began with the enactment of Meghnad Vadh, followed by Ravana Vadh, conveying the timeless message of the triumph of good over evil. Other major episodes from the Ramayana, including Ahiravan Vadh, were also staged. The Ramlila concluded with the coronation of Lord Shri Ram.
A unique feature of the event was the participation of 108 women and girls, ranging in age from a six-month-old infant to an 83-year-old woman, who portrayed various characters from the Ramayana. Prepared over two months, the digital production brought the epic to life through modern technology, impressive lighting and sound effects.
Founder Ekta Nagpal’s initiative promoted women’s empowerment while encouraging the younger generation to remain connected with Indian culture and traditions. The Ramlila also inspired audiences to reflect on the message that, alongside burning effigies of Ravana, people should overcome the evils within themselves and embrace the ideals of Lord Shri Ram in their daily lives.
