Holding Political Rallies During the Memorial Days of Dark November '84 is a Shameful Act by Congress : Dhandra, Kohli
Chandigarh 4 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit General Secretary Bharpoor Singh Dhandra and Office Secretary Jagjit Singh Kohli stated in a joint press release that while the entire Sikh world is grief-stricken in memory of the tragic massacre that took place during the dark days of November 1984, the Congress party is playing the game of holding political rallies to hide its dark deeds. Both leaders said that instead of taking responsibility for this massacre and apologizing to the Sikh nation, Rahul Gandhi held political rallies in Delhi on November 1st and is doing the same in Punjab today, which is akin to rubbing salt into the wounds of the Sikhs.
The Congress party must remember that the Sikh nation will never forget the massacre of its children, elders, youth, and the desecration/dishonor of its women, and by accepting the challenge of these rallies held during these days, they will definitely give a befitting reply during elections. Reminding the BJP, both leaders also stated that the programs organized by them regarding the November massacre in response to Congress rallies will not bring any political benefit. If the BJP government truly claims to be a sympathizer of the Sikhs, it should put those involved in the massacre, like Tytler and Kamal Nath, behind bars, and immediately release Sikh detainees by abandoning its hostile attitude toward them.
