Advanced Valve Replacement Clinic to offer complete evaluation, diagnosis : Dr. Sidharth Gar
Panchkula 1 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Park Hospital Panchkula on Saturday announced the launch of its dedicated Heart Valve Clinic, which will be conducted on every Thursday. The clinic will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, medical management, valve repair, valve replacement surgery and post-operative rehabilitation under one roof. Dr. Sidharth Garg, director–CTVS, Dr. Amit Goyal, consultant-cardiologist, Dr. Syed Wahid, cardiac surgeon, and Dr. Arjun Pratap Joshi, associate director–cardiac anaesthesia will run the clinic.
Dr. Sidharth Garg said that the people often ignore early warning signs such as breathlessness, fatigue and chest discomfort until the condition progresses to severe heart failure. Delayed treatment can permanently damage the heart muscle, whereas timely valve replacement can significantly improve survival, quality of life and functional capacity, he said. Dr. Amit Goyal said,” Symptoms including breathlessness while walking, chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, fainting episodes, swelling of feet and persistent fatigue should never be ignored. Early diagnosis through Echocardiography, ECG and advanced cardiac imaging allows doctors to intervene before irreversible heart damage occurs.”
