Holding Political Rallies During the Memorial Days of Dark November '84 is a Shameful Act by Congress : Dhandra, Kohli Chandigarh 4 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit General Secretary Bharpoor Singh Dhandra and Office Secretary Jagjit Singh Kohli stated in a joint press release that while the entire Sikh world is grief-stricken in memory of the tragic massacre that took place during the dark days of November 1984, the Congress party is playing the game of holding political rallies to hide its dark deeds. They stated that employees of autonomous institutions operating under the Central Government's Ministry of Health should also be treated fairly and equally.
Union President Beant Kamboj and General Secretary Ravindra Kumar Jaiswal warned that if the bonus is not provided at the earliest, the movement will be intensified through more widespread and strong democratic and peaceful protest programmes. According to the agreed plan for the upcoming protest, a peaceful sit-in and gathering will be held by employees at PGIMER, Chandigarh, tomorrow (Thursday, November 5th). The Union has appealed to all the regular employees of PGIMER and other related autonomous institutions to unite and participate in these peaceful and democratic protest programmes in large numbers to protect their legitimate rights. The officials of the PGI Employees Union again clarified that this movement is being carried out in a completely peaceful and disciplined manner and the care of patients and essential services of the institute are being given top priority.
